In Loving Memory of
Eleanor Marie White Bull
January 10, 1932 – February 14, 2026

Eleanor Marie White Bull of Buckingham, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Doylestown Hospital. She was 94 years old.

Eleanor was born in Newark, Maryland, the eldest daughter of twelve children of Mailon Fletcher Redmond, a World War I veteran, and Eleanor Johnson Redmond, a college‑educated schoolteacher. Raised in a large, loving family, she developed the resilience, creativity, and devotion to others that would define her life.

After moving to Philadelphia in the 1930s, Eleanor attended William Penn High School where her artistic gifts shone brightly. She earned an art scholarship, a testament to her remarkable talent, but chose instead to begin a family—carrying her creativity with her into every chapter that followed.

In 1950, Eleanor married Jeremiah Jackson White Sr., and together they built a home on twelve acres in Buckingham. That land—especially the beloved gathering spot known as “the hill”—became the heart of five generations of family and friends, a place filled with laughter, celebration, and connection.

Eleanor raised seven children by example. They worked alongside her to grow food, raise animals, restore furniture and clothing, and build meaningful relationships with the families she worked for in Bucks County. Those relationships opened doors for her children, and the values she modeled—work ethic, resourcefulness, and determination—helped them walk through those doors and build successful lives of their own.

A gifted artist, Eleanor acted with the Town and Country Players, created beautiful quilts and tailored coats, posed as an artist’s model, and later owned Plant and Trowel Antiques in Washington, D.C. Her creativity was a lifelong expression of her spirit.

Eleanor loved people deeply. She fostered children, welcomed grandchildren for summers of learning and adventure, and hosted reunions that drew generations back to her home. Her generosity, warmth, and open door made her a source of comfort and strength for countless people.

In her later years, Eleanor married William Bull and deepened her faith as a baptized member of the Jehovah’s Witness congregation at the Doylestown Kingdom Hall.

Her final message was simple and profound: love one another, care for one another, and give generously, as she always did.

Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched—with love, creativity, and unwavering faith.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jeremiah Jackson White and William Bull; her sons Theodore Lloyd White and Gregory Dean White; her son-in-law Irvin Miller; her siblings William Redmond, Phillip Redmond, June Merritt, Helen Norman, Mailon Redmond, Calvin Redmond, Margarite Martinez; and her grandson Christian Holmes.

Eleanor is survived by her siblings Chapman Redmond and Robert Redmond. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her children, Jeremiah Jackson White, Jr., Allen Lawrence White, Zachary Warren White (Barbara), Annette Craig Miller, and Gail Marie Manz (Patrick), Anthony Bishop, and “adopted” son Billy Mills, and her grandchildren, Kissa, Lanisha, Zenzile, Jerry, Isaac (Alana), Rachel, Melanie (Jonathan), Logan, Gregory, and Alex; and 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Family and friends are invited to remember Eleanor at Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:30 am, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 11:00 am.

Everyone is welcome to a gathering of family and friends at the Cock and Bull Restaurant in Peddler’s Village at 58 Peddler’s Village, Lahaska PA 18931.
