Edward J. Larlick

February 16th, 1940 – September 1st, 2023

Edward ‘Eddie’ Larlick (February 16, 1940) died on September 1, 2023. He is survived by his sister Linda Larlick (Carl Wagner), his children Fr. Matthew Larlick, David Larlick (Michele Larlick), and Catherine Abrams (Mike Abrams), as well as his four grandchildren, Jonathan, Leah, Amelia, and Kieran. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Larlick (Osborne).

Eddie was a faithful husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, pilot, football fan, outdoor adventurer, enthusiastic eater, do-it-yourselfer, flight layover mischief maker, and storyteller. His door was always open to friends and family.

Raised in Doylestown, PA, Ed was in the first graduating class to complete all four years at Central Bucks West High School after it was built. He went on to graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.S. in Business Management in 1963. Ed joined the Navy, and after Aviation Officer Candidate School and flight training served as a Naval Aviator. During the Vietnam war, he was a member of Navy Patrol Squadron VP 26 “Tridents” and was deployed to Utapao, Thailand, participating in Operation Market Time. Following his service, he became a flight engineer for Pan Am until the aviation industry declined, prompting a brief return to active duty in the Navy. He later became a reservist with VP 64 “Condors” and completed 20 years of military service.

He flew for Raritan Aviation Corp where he was the personal pilot for Seward Johnson (G-II). Once the G-II was sold, he began a decades long career at Johnson and Johnson Corporate Air (G-III, G-IV) based at Mercer County Airport. Prior to retirement, he flew for a charter flight company based in Teterboro, NJ.

Ed enjoyed his retirement sailing on his 34’ Caliber masthead sloop Sallie with his in-laws and friends in the Casco Bay, cycling around Bucks County, PA or walking his dog Benji along Willard Beach in South Portland, ME. He was a member and D Ride Leader for the Central Bucks Bicycling Club (CBBC), a member of the Centerboard Yacht Club, and on the Class of 1958 CB West Reunion Committee. He was a reliable volunteer for Boy Scout Troop 52, the Mercer Museum Folk Festival, the CBBC Covered Bridges Ride, and the Central Bucks Senior Center.
