Mary Anne Chenard
March 20th, 1958 – September 30th, 2022
Mary Anne (Hamelin) Chenard, 64, of Whitman, passed away peacefully September 30, 2022, at Signature HealthCare Brockton Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born on March 20, 1958, in South Weymouth, MA. She was a 1976 graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. She received her Associate of Science Degree in Data Processing Technology from Massasoit Community College in 1987, obtaining the Dean’s List with Honors. Mary was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Whitman, and she was a very strong woman of her Catholic faith with a special devotion to the Divine Mercy.
She would be the first person to offer help to someone in need and the last person to accept it. She was a very talented software developer in previous years and enjoyed making jewelry in recent years.
She was predeceased by her parents Edward J. Hamelin, and Sophia (Roy) Hamelin, and her brother Mark Roy Hamelin.
She is survived by her siblings: Joan Winstead of Bangor, ME, Gregory Hamelin and wife Cheryl of Glenburn, ME, Paul Hamelin of Whitman, MA, Peter Hamelin and wife Ellie of Carver, MA, Edward J Hamelin Jr and husband Jheinigton Vinha of Whitman, MA.
She is also survived by one nephew Christopher Winstead, one niece Sarah (Hamelin) LeBlanc and husband Douglas LeBlanc Sr, three step-nephews Sean Wyman, Brayden LeBlanc and Douglas LeBlanc Jr; one step-niece Casey Wyman, one great-niece Addison LeBlanc.

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 15th in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 10:30am.
Burial to follow at St. James Cemetery, Harvard Street, Whitman.
