Rose M. Gibson

November 2, 1934 – February 4, 2021

Rose Gibson (nee Byrne) died Friday, the 17th of April at Edward Hosptial in Naperville. She struggled with many medical conditions and always seemed to have 9 live and bounce back yet contracting Covid 19 10 days ago was too much to fight.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and son, Patrick. She has a surviving daughter, Madeline, who resides in Florida and son, Frank, who lives with his wife, Diane, in Naperville, IL.

Her family were the most cherished possessions and she took great pride in her 6 grandchildren, John Bubeck, Jenna (Bubeck) Kotlar, Brittany (Fuller) Barbari, Matt Fuller, Michelle Fuller and Bianca Fuller. From these 6 grandchildren, she had been blessed to welcome 4 great grandchildren, Jake, Emma, Bronson and Amira. She will be adding 3 more great grands this summer.

Rose was a woman who loved life. Her home was always filled with plenty of good food and people. She always had a kind word to say and was interested in everyone other than herself. She worked for years at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn until moving to Amboy, IL in her later years. About 4 years ago, she moved to Naperville to be close to her son and his family.

She spent time socializing, playing cards and bingo and was an avid reader. Rose will be missed greatly by all who had the privilege to know her.
