Mrs. Janet Louise (Morrow)Thomas was born November 25, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the 4th and youngest daughter (the baby girl as she liked to say) of Christine and James A. Morrow, Sr. To this union 5 other children were born. Both parents have preceded her in death. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Emmanuel M.B. Church in St. Louis, MO. She attended Hempstead Elementary and Southwest High School. Janet also attended St. Louis Job Corps, and received formal training for CNA certification.

Janet met and married the love of her life Mr. Desmond Thomas in 1997, they celebrated their 25th silver wedding anniversary on, November 15, 2022. Janet instantly became a loving and caring step-mom to Des’s children. Janet loved to record her life through photos and you could feel the light of her smile through every picture.

Janet was gainfully employed at BJC Hospital for 23 years, where she was an environmental worker, and recently promoted to a unit secretary. Her co-workers speak well and very highly of Janet and her smile, she was dedicated to helping and servicing others.

Janet transitioned on 3.23.23 at 12:30 pm surrounded by family. She will be missed by all. Her spirit was pure and her smile was infectious.

Janet was one of the founding members of New Beginnings Bible Ministries in 1998 under the leadership of Senior Pastor and Founder, Pastor Todd R. West. She was a faithful disciple and member for 21 years, and was proficient in the Word of God. She maintained her commitment to her leaders when a faith-move took place and she became submitted to her present church, New Christian Hope M.B. Church, under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Sabrina L. West. She loved and served both her pastors and her church faithfully. Janet was on the Pastor’s aide committee and a diligent Sunday School teacher at the Hope.

Janet leaves her legacy of laughing, living and loving to cherish her memories; her husband of 25 years, Mr. Desmond Thomas, 3 Sisters; Barbara and Sandra Morrow, Stephanie Holmes; 2 brothers, James Morrow Jr., Roney (Joyce) Morrow; In Laws; Diane (John) Minor, Cossie Matthews, Sabrina (Todd) West; & Caster Thomas. 8 step children; Ebony (Timothy) McDile, Desmond Jr., Brandy, Lamont, Claude, Dewayne, Curtis Franklin, Darion Wilson; 9 nieces; Brittany Campbell, Michelle Huntspon, Joy Morrow, Ashley Morrow, Shantial Hodges, Brittney (Darius) Hagens, Blake (Derick) Brown, Tonette Thomas, Monique (Ron) Woods. 4 nephews; Deven Morrow, Sedric Morrow, Brandon West, Dewayne Woods; A very special “sister and childhood friend Margaret “PeeWee” Howard. And a grand host of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Including her BJC Family and her entire New Christian Hope Family & her special Sunday School co-teacher Elder Viviana Brady.
